What is MomDadTales?
MomDadTales is an iOS app for iPhone and iPad, made for parents to share with children ages 2 to 8+. It offers personalized, beautifully illustrated bedtime stories. Parents can read each story aloud like a picture book, or press play and let a soft voice narrate. The app is calm, ad-free, and privacy-first.
What ages is MomDadTales for?
MomDadTales is made for parents to share with children ages 2 to 8+. Stories are matched to your child's age range (2–3, 4–5, 6–7, or 8+) and to the interests they love — animals, magic, space, dinosaurs, the ocean, friendship, and more — so tonight's story always fits.
Does MomDadTales collect my child's personal data?
MomDadTales never receives your child's name or gender — both are stored only on your device. To choose a story, the app sends limited information to our service: a single age taken from the age range you picked, the interests you picked, a language code, and a randomly generated identifier that is not tied to your name or to any account. Our service also records which stories have been opened on that identifier, so the same story is not offered twice. MomDadTales shows no ads, runs no analytics, and does not sell personal information.
Does MomDadTales track my family or use analytics?
No. MomDadTales contains no analytics and no tracking of any kind. The app bundles no analytics software, no advertising software, and no third-party trackers, and it does not use Apple's Advertising Identifier, so it never asks permission to track you. There are no screen-view counters, no analytics events, and no crash-reporting service, and nothing about your family is shared with any other company. The only thing our service records is which stories have been opened and rated, so it can avoid repeating them — never what you tap or how long you stay. The MomDadTales website runs no analytics either.
Can MomDadTales read stories aloud?
Yes. Every story can be narrated by a soft, gentle voice while you turn the pages together — or you can read it aloud yourself, page by page, like a real picture book. A dim-screen bedtime mode and soothing endings help the night wind down toward sleep.
How are MomDadTales stories made?
Every MomDadTales story is written and illustrated in advance, with the help of AI, and reviewed against automated safety checks designed to keep it gentle and age-appropriate. Nothing is written on demand or about your child — the app picks from a finished library of stories. A recurring cast of characters stays consistent from story to story, and new stories arrive every week.
Which devices does MomDadTales work on?
MomDadTales is designed for iPhone and iPad and requires iOS 18 or later. It is coming to the App Store — the download button on this page starts working the day it ships.
Is MomDadTales available on Android?
Not today. MomDadTales is an iOS app built for iPhone and iPad, and it requires iOS 18 or later. There is no Android version.
Does MomDadTales work without an internet connection?
Every story you open is saved to your device, so you can read it again later even without an internet connection. You need a connection to browse and open a story for the first time.
Can I set up more than one child?
Yes. You can create a separate profile for each child, each with their own age range and interests, and switch between them in a tap. Every profile gets stories matched to that child.
